"If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat."-Sun Tzu

Throughout this site you will find links to tactics used by hunt sabs as well as hunting practices.  To be truly effective in the field, you must know where to find bubba in the woods and how he is hunting. You will not always be lucky enough to see an orange vest in the first five minutes.  If sabbing before a season begins, you need to know what an effective use of your time will be.  Though we are striving to become the ultimate resource for sabbing tactics on the continent, we will never have all the answers.  If you find an effective tactic that works in your area, please share it so others may benefit.

There are 3 philosophical approaches to achieve an end to hunting:

1. Change the hunters' view of their "sport."  For this approach, you will need a lot of knowledge and effective debate tactics.  Ultimately, however, you may have to accept that your opponent may be too stupid to reason with or simply a psychopath who enjoys killing.

2. Legislate hunting out of existence.  There are various groups that have been working on this for decades (it seems to be working in the UK). While their activities are important to our ultimate goals, AHSA was formed to tackle other tactics.  If you are interested in this avenue, visit the links page.

3. Create situations where hunting becomes too difficult or expensive to be "fun."

FYI: for the hunters who email us wanting a debate, we  focus on #3.
